Hi everybody! It's your beloved and occasionally absentminded mod here. I've decided that in addition to "Medium" Mondays challenges, I will be posting Fic Rec Friday - a "Medium" fan fiction recommendation to brighten your week. If I run out of "Medium" fics, I might move onto fics from similar genres - or things that are totally out of left field - just something to help inspire your own "Medium" fan fics.

The point is, there's great writing out there. Let's celebrate it! Let's use it to make us better writers.

This week's rec is: Licorice by FreckledTricksta, a Scanlon-centered drabble.

Enjoy!

Also, if you've seen our beautiful new layout, please join me in thanking [livejournal.com profile] weber_dubois22, who was the mastermind behind it! This loveliness is what I had hoped for in a layout, but was unable to do myself. I hope our flashy new looks will draw new members, and new stories.

Innocence

Emerging from the bedroom, Joe saw Allison standing at the kitchen window. The gray sky cast shadows across her normally sunny countenance; but, nonetheless, she was smiling.

"What are you looking at, Honey," he asked, pouring a cup of coffee. She signaled him to join her, then pointed toward the window.

Bridget, bundled in her thickest coat, was running in the back yard, head thrown back, mouth open, catching snow flakes on her tongue.

"Innocence," Allison replied.
